Historic Spanish missions, the miles-long pedestrian river walk through the heart of the city lined with cafes and shops, a rich colonial heritage and outstanding cuisine are only a few of the lures of this majestic city. Join us on a photographic exploration of one of the largest and oldest Spanish settlements in the United States, San Antonio, Texas, from October 31 through November 4, 2018. We will begin 9am on the 31st. Shelley will be available the morning of the 4th in case anyone would like additional post production assistance. You are free to leave anytime on the 4th.
From our hotel on the banks of the San Antonio River Walk, we will venture out each morning to explore the city with an eye to capturing the history and stories of this richly unique urban environment. Even if you have visited San Antonio before you will have the opportunity to see it anew, with fresh eyes and new intentions. For those of you that have taken workshops with us before, I promise you will be trying something new and exciting, which will change your visual landscape. Each late afternoon and evening, we will regroup to review the day’s experiences.
Tour costs are $1495 and include daily sessions with Laurie Klein, technology and post processing support from Shelley Vandegrift, round trip transportation to the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and happy hour refreshments at our daily recap gathering.
Price does not include transportation to/from San Antonio, hotel or meals. Rooms have been blocked at the Homewood Suites River Walk Hotel at a special price for our group. The group website for booking your hotel reservations can be found at HomewoodSuites.
Workshop is limited to 10 students.
