In 2014, a globally recognized infrared artist, who began her career at the feet of Ansel Adams, met a corporate executive with a love for technology. With the encouragement of the artist, the technologist picked up her first infrared camera, and the adventure began.

Laurie Klein and Shelley Vandegrift, The Invisible Story Team, bring their shared love of infrared photography and teaching to workshops and events all over the world. Whether in the high desert of New Mexico, the ancient cities of Morocco, or in an online classroom, these women focus on giving photographers the knowledge and tools needed to discover their own artistic world in the invisible light of infrared.

Each brings her unique gift to the team. Laurie’s incredible heart and one-of-a-kind creative soul leads participants to discover the stories they hold inside and how to express them. Shelley, with her knack for making post-processing techniques accessible to all, guides students in discovering the skills needed to craft those stories.

Laurie and Shelley are devoted to providing experiences, education, resources, and custom-crafted plugins and presets to those traveling their personal artistic road through the photographic realm.
